Banking with Sbardun Pupils from years 10 and 11 Ysgol Rhydywaun had an opportunity to attend a session about finance and the chance to open a bank account. 30/01/2007 Clothes and Fashion Members of the Sbardun club at Ysgol Rhydywaun went on a trip to the Clothes Show on 5 December 2006. There they met the singer Simon Webb. They also had to take special note of the Fashion Shows because they have to produce their own show for a year 6 audience. 08/12/2006

Careful Drivers As a result of the Sbardun Project in Ysgol Rhydywaun pupils on the project are taking the "Drive Safely" course for eight weeks which will lead to an OCN Level 1 qualification. 21/01/2007 Lunchtime Clwb at Rhydywaun A weekly lunchtime youth club has started at Rhydywain Comprehensive School organised by Nicola Evans and Helen Cotter from Sbardun. About 30 young people enjoy activities including pool and darts and socialising with friends. 02/12/2006

Christmas with Sbardun 16 pupils from Ysgol Rhydywaun who are on the Sbardun project had an opportunity to improve their skills during a 3 day course. They spent an afternoon at the Winter Wonderland, Cadiff. 11/01/2007 Sbardun supports young people The Rhondda Cynon Taf Youth Service in conjunction with Menter Iaith have started the Sbardun Project to support Ysgol Gyfun Rhydywaun pupils who are at risk of disengagement fro education. 01/12/2006

Rhydywaun Youth Club  

Dechreuwyd y clwb ieuenctid ar 16eg o Dachwedd yn Ysgol Gyfun Rhydywaun. Mae’n cael ei rhedeg gan Nicola Evans a Helen Cotter yn wythnosol, amser cinio dydd Iau yn y ganolfan Ieuenctid. Mae nifer o’r pobl ifanc sydd ar gynllunSbardun yn troi lan i’r clwb ond mae’r clwb ar agor i holl ddisgyblion Ysgol Gyfun Rhydywaun. Mae’r clwb wedi bod yn rhedeg am dair wythnos nawr ac mae tua 30 o bobl ifanc yn troi lan yn wythnosol. Yno gall y bobl ifanc chwarae pwl, darts neu eistedd mewn ystafell dwym a chymdeithasu gyda ffrindiau.
