Come to taste & drink the best of Rhondda Cynon Taf The Valley’s Business Connect is proud that beer from Rhondda Cynon Taff is being bottled with bilingual labelling. Come to taste the beer at the Otley Brewing Company’s brewery at Cilfynydd on 12 July at 6:30pm
Their O8 beer won the CAMRA “Champion Beer of Wales 2006/07”. Come to find out how the company that was setup in the summer of 2005 has marketed it’s range (01, CO2, OBB, OG, Amarill-O, O-Garden, O-Le). The bottled beer will soon appear in our shops!
The best food from Wales has won it’s place some years ago because of its quality and it’s unique taste. It is clear that customers are very keen to have drinks and food that has been sourced locally/in Wales in every sector of the catering industry. The “True Taste” awards acts as a fantastic showcase to some of the great Welsh produce that is available. Robert Morgan will be discussing the awards and how it gives the producers a lot more confidence.
Make sure you don’t miss this night, order tickets (£12.50) by contacting Geraint Bowen, at Menter Iaith’s Office, Y Tŷ Model, Llantrisant CF72 8EB, Phone 01443 226 386.

“Croeso” (welcome) and “Diolch” (Thank You) on chocolates The Welsh Language Board was developed a campaign aimed at Hotels and Bed and Breakfast businesses in Wales. The Welsh Language makes Wales distinct from any other region in the UK and visitors enjoy hearing the Welsh language and practising some of the most commonly used terms such as “Nos Da” and “ Bore Da”, “Croeso” and “Diolch”.
The minature chocolates display these most commonly used words and will be sure to create an interest placed on the tea and coffee tray in the bedroom, offered in reception or at the end of the meal.
Menter Iaith intends, on behalf of the Welsh Language Board, to distribute samples of these chocolates to Hotels and Bed and Breakfast businesses in the Rhondda Cynnon Taf area.
If you are interested in obtaining a sample of these chocolates, free of charge, or seek advice about bilingual signage, websites or menus please contact Helena Jones on 07981 906 102 or e mail helenajones@menteriaith.org.
